About this loop

Stihl moved these saws toward a .050" gauge, and 2022 and newer MS271 saws may already have the thinner bar. That makes the stamp more important than the model name. A .063" chain will not enter a .050" groove, and a .050" chain will rattle in a .063" one, so check first. If the stamp confirms .063", this is your chain, cross-referenced to 36390050081 and V81. The full-chisel cutters are fast in clean wood but not low-kickback, which makes them a tool for experienced cutters. KAKEI part 3C381X.
