About this loop

Small bars mean every tooth passes through the wood more often, so a pruner chain dulls quickly on dusty limbs and hedge wood. Our semi-chisel cutters have rounded corners that tolerate that kind of work and still bite after contact with grit. The chain crosses to Stihl code 3670 005 0028 (71 PM3 28), the number printed in the GTA 26 manual. We cut the side plates from German steel, harden and quench the rivets, chrome the cutters, and ship every loop in anti-rust oil. KAKEI part 4A4Q28X.

  • Built for the Stihl GTA 26 mini pruner: 1/4" pitch, .043" gauge and 28 drive links on a 4-inch bar.
  • Crosses to Stihl 3670 005 0028 and 71 PM3 28, so you can match it against the number in your manual.
  • Three loops per box, so you can swap in a sharp one mid-job and file the dull ones later at the bench.
  • Tested to the low-kickback requirements of ANSI B175.1-2012, a sensible spec for close pruning with a small hand-held tool.
