    Pitch and gauge are pressed into the bar near the mounting end.

  2. 2Count the links

    Count drive links on the old loop, or read them off its card.

  3. 3Match all three

    This loop is .325" · .050" · 74DL.

About this loop

Many saw makers use this spec, which is why we sell it by the numbers rather than by model name. Take the bar off, look at the stamp, and check three things: .325", .050" and 18". Then count the drive links on your worn chain. Seventy-four means you are set. Full-chisel cutters make this the quick option for felling and bucking clean timber, but they are not low-kickback and belong in experienced hands. KAKEI part 3C074X is punched from German steel, with hardened rivets and chrome-plated cutters that are cold-headed and ground.

  • Your bar should read .325" and .050" at 18 inches, and your worn chain should count 74 drive links.
  • The .050" counterpart to our 26RS 74 chain, useful where newer bars have moved off the .063" gauge.
  • Square full-chisel corners cut clean, seasoned timber quickly; keep the chain out of soil to hold the edge.
  • Carries a kickback warning and is not rated low-kickback, so use it only with experience and proper training.
