About this loop
A square-cornered full chisel slices wood fibers rather than chipping them, so it moves noticeably faster through clean, seasoned logs. The trade-off is that the corners dull quickly if they touch dirt, and the chain is not low-kickback. We recommend it only for experienced users who know how to keep the bar nose out of trouble. For bucking firewood off a clean sawbuck, though, it is hard to beat. Part 3C066X has quenched rivets, chrome-plated cutters that are cold-headed and ground, and German steel side plates.
- Sized for the Husqvarna 435 and 430: a 16-inch bar with .325" pitch, .050" gauge and 66 drive links.
- Full-chisel cutters give a fast, aggressive cut in clean seasoned firewood bucked on a sawbuck.
- Not a low-kickback chain; use it only if you have experience and training in handling kickback.
- Keep it out of the dirt: square corners dull faster than semi-chisel when they meet soil or stones.
